Mr. Ahmed is a Partner and operates from the Islamabad office of the Firm. Mr. Ahmed has a Combined Bachelor (LL.B Hons) – Law with Economics, from the University of Buckingham and has completed his Bar Vocational Course in 2008 and was thereafter called to the Bar of England and Wales from the Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn. Since then, Mr. Ahmed has been practicing in almost all the major facets of civil legal practice.

Mr. Ahmed has been recognized as a ‘leading lawyer’ / ‘recommended lawyer’ by leading legal directories and has acted as the exclusive contributor for Pakistan for various leading international publications including but not limited to Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, Lexology – Getting the Deal Through.

Mr. Ahmed’s chief areas of focus include corporate and commercial matters, representing multinational corporations, venture capital funds, financial institutions, non-profit organizations, local companies, and government entities. Mr. Ahmed has expertise in corporate restructuring, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Ahmed has particular expertise in the telecom sector, advising on all kinds of telecom projects, telecommunication agreements, and providing regulatory advice in terms of project inception and deployment. Mr. Ahmed’s experience with regards to energy and power sector projects includes advise in relation to security and finance documents relating to various independent power projects. Mr. Ahmed has also assisted with a range of exploration, development, production, transmission, and distribution projects in Pakistan.

Mr. Ahmed regularly advises private and public clients on all aspects pertaining to corporate compliance, labour laws, competition, property, and tax.

Mr. Ahmed regularly appears before the High Courts, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the Competition Commission of Pakistan and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and has acted for clients in several noteworthy matters.
